Lake Shore High School Takes the Polar Plunge

Lake Shore High School students and staff took part in today’s Polar Plunge at Woodlawn Beach, joining the districtwide effort that raised about $15,000 for Special Olympics of WNY. Their participation helped support the Unified Bowling and Unified Basketball programs that give students of all abilities the chance to compete and represent Lake Shore.
Thank you to our plungers for braving the cold and to the community for donating and showing steady support for this cause. Every contribution helps sustain programs that play a major role in building inclusion, teamwork, and school pride.
A special thank you to Mr. Timothy Smelser for helping make this year’s effort a success.
A strong showing from LSHS and a powerful example of what our students and staff can accomplish together.
